Making money with social websites has become the hot new thing in internet marketing, and with good cause. Social websites are, for the most part, free. With social websites and social networking, you can get your articles, blog posts, and web sites in front of hundreds of thousands of people if you do it correctly. Affiliate Marketing – With the exposure that social networks bring to the ordinary Joe’s of the internet world, it’s no surprise that many people have successfully promoted affiliate products through these networks. With websites such as Facebook and Myspace so easy to use and get your target audience, it’s well known there can be success with this method. Like I just mentioned, you should have a targetted audience. If you are promoting pet products or services, make sure you add “friends” to your network that seem to have this interest in common. Target groups of people that are “pet friendly” and then make sure you seem sincere in your socializing. If you are promoting products in the “body building” niche, make sure the people you add to your network share that athletic interest as well.

2. Ad Networks – With Twitter, Myspace, and Facebook accounts running wild, you can get involved in some ad networks that will be for any leads sent to them via your social networks. Some ads only require that the user input their email address, some require only a zip code, and some require only a phone number. Some ads require a full name and address, but will pay much better for information such as this. These networks pay anywhere from $1.00 per lead to over $15.00 depending on how much information is requested. You can post them on your Facebook wall, or as a bulletin in MySpace, or tweet on your Twitter account. This method also works best when your audience is targetted toward the type of ad you are placing or blasting.

It is a waste of your time as well as your resources if you are blasting out an ad that your target audience is not going to be interested in. You could also lose quite a bit of credibility if you do this often. On the other hand, if done correctly, you will generate leads and decent money in your wallet rather quickly.
